摘要
8 x 11.5 Gbit/ s (10 Gbit/s after coding) optical OFDM transmission over 1000 km standard single mode fibre (SSMF) with conventional distributed feedback (DFB) lasers and direct-detection is demonstrated. Compared with coherent-detection using external cavity lasers (ECL), DFB lasers and direct- detection can significantly reduce the system complexity and cost.
