摘要：

This essay proposes "Translate poetic ideas" as a principle of poetry translation. Taking LANGUAGE poetry for example, this essay examines this principle based on an analysis of the poetics and poetical practice of LANGUAGE poetry. It believes that the linguistic, aesthetic and political ideas of LANGUAGE poetry endow the language and other types of the textual form with such great responsibility that the latter are part of the meaning and the meaning-generating mechanism of the poetry, and thus in translating LANGUAGE poetry, it is necessary to restore the language strategies and textual form of the original poem according to the LANGUAGE poetics so as to restore the meaning and the meaning-generating mechanism.
