Pharmacologic treatment of mood disorders in the elderly

摘要：
There have been impressive developments in the pharmacological treatment of mood disorders in the elderly, both acute and long-term, and in the management of treatment-resistant depression. The nihilism that had prevailed previously has been replaced by cautious optimism with regard to the results of controlled trials in naturalistic settings and studies in high-risk groups, including patients with multiple medical conditions and subsyndromal states.
