摘要：
The aim of the paper is to find out if the ERP systems can be implemented and become a solution for the Romanian clothing enterprises for increasing their competitiveness on the European market. Using the analytical-descriptive method, in the first part of this paper we present the evolution of computer information systems for production planning and control. In the second part we analyze the clothing industry, its characteristics and particularities and try to find out if the ERP systems can fit with clothing production process. In Romania only a small number of companies implemented ERP Systems. Companies should implement the E RP solutions that exist on the market and should reengineer their business processes.
