摘要：
Drilling of horizontal and directional wells down to 1500 m depth is suggested in sites featuring maximal spread of oligostromic strata and unconventional entrainments bedding formed by softened clay rocks. It has been shown that that it is in principle possible to drill horizontal and directional bores in unstable clay formations using advanced horizontal drilling technology.
