Because of its versatility and flexibility, the reinforced earth approach is gaining prominence on the field of civil engineering. It's been used to construct retaining walls, embankments, soil loams, heavy building base beds on soft land, viaduct bridges, among other buildings. Reinforced earth technique has entered a modern age with the use of geosynthetics in civil engineering. The proper handling of industrial wastes is a major issue in today's world. Since all of these waste products are non-biodegradable,they pollute the atmosphere. India has a vast network of factories in various sections of the world, with several more on the way in the immediate future. It is important to dispose of these waste products since they are toxic to the ecosystem. To improve the usage of these industrial wastes in road building in India. It is critical to test these products and develop new methodologies and requirements. This paper examines the industrial wastes that can be used in highway design.
