摘要
The development of structural fibre properties in a high-intensity thermomechanical refining process has been compared with that of a low intensity process. Rotational speed, system pressure and residence time were varied. High intensity gave more narrow, thin-walled fibres with more longitudinal cracks in the fibre wall. Most fibres with cracks in the fibre wall were thin-walled earlywood fibres. The high-intensity approach have significantly less shives and better development of the long fibre fraction.
