摘要
Introduction. - In order to better support victims of domestic violence, a new original and innovative protocol was implemented in July 2020 so that they benefit from medical, social and legal care as soon as they arrive in the Emergency Department of the University Hospital of Amiens. The objective of this study is therefore to assess this new care. Methods. - All the beneficiaries of this protocol were included over the period from July 2020 to April 1, 2021. Results. - Twelve exclusively female victims with an average age of 33.8 years (19-47 years) used the protocol. Of the three victims who had children (25%), only one specified that they too were victims (8.3%). Three victims (25%) were pregnant, a condition known to their assailant. All victims reported direct hits (punches or kicks, strangulation, slaps or pulled hair), only one (8.3%) the use of a bladed weapon. Five of them mentioned associated verbal violence (41.6%). Bruising was found in 10 victims and psychological repercussions in 7 of them (58.3%). The number of ITT days varied between 1 and 3 days. Ten victims spoke of previous and/or repeated violence. For two of them, there was a previous complaint (15.4%). For two victims there was no follow-up to this procedure (16.6%). Conclusions. - This study shows the real interest of this new protocol because for nearly 80% of the victims, there was a judicial handling and a protection of the victims.
