摘要
A new transmission strategy, Layered Multicast base on Differentiated Service (LMDS), is proposed in this paper to provide effective congestion control for real-time streaming media transmission over mobile network. LMDS splits the data stream into three sub-streams and multicast them with different network priorities. Because of this design the receiver can distinguish different package loss types by comparing sub-streams' loss rates. Congestion control is taken at receiver by adjusting the number of multicast groups it joined in. In this paper, LMDS's effectiveness has been proved theoretically and the results of simulation experiments confirm our strategy's superiority.
