摘要
The photostrictive effect in lanthanum modified lead zirconate titanate (PLZT) has promising applications in photoactive system and MEMS. The synthesis process by mechanical alloying can control the composition of PLZT powders and reduce the grain size of the ceramics. But the condition for the successful synthesis is not determined. Different ball mills were used in this study to conduct MA to synthesize PLZT powder, and the mechanism of the process was investigated. Compared with tumbling and planetary mills, the multi-dimension vibration mill SPEX synthesized single-phase PLZT solid solution powder in a shorter time. The impact energy is revealed to be the critical factor for the mechanochemical reaction.
