摘要
This article discuss the concept of recognition in Hegel and some influences that it had on the thinking of the philosopher Judith Butler. In her appropriation of Hegelian thought, the author reinforces both the interpretative and application possibilities of the concept of recognition. Exploring the logic of desire in the dynamics of recognition, Butler expands the discussion of the relationship between self-awareness and otherness, which allows the delimitation of an ethical field that, linking desire to the production of embodied identities, would enable the transformation of the world. With his appropriation of the concept of recognition in Hegel, Butler claims a reformulation of the normative field that would come to be governed by the imperative of recognition of otherness based on what could be called an ethics of difference.
