摘要
Zno sensors were fabricated from flower like nanorods prepared by hydrothermal method. Thick films of pure ZnO were prepared for gas sensing application. Different sample characterization techniques have been employed, such as, XRD, SEM, FESEM, TEM etc. XRD pattern ZnO samples reveal hexagonal wurtzite structure of the sample. The average crystallite size for ZnO sensor was found to be 31 mn. The sensitivity, operating temperature, response time and recovery time of the ZnO based gas sensor were investigated in terms of the response to reducing gas NH3. The lowest detection limit for ammonia gas was about 5 ppm at an operating temperature of 230 degrees C.
