The global distribution system in the hotel industry

There is a growing importance attached to the use of electronics in modern businesses. We can rightfully say that we are living in times marked by "e-everything". The topic of our interest in this paper is the application of electronic technology in the hotel industry business. Business is simplified with the development of electronic and internet business and hotel services are easily, available to customers regardless of their location. Up until now, sellers controlled the sale of hotel rooms, airplane tickets, rent-a-car, whereas sales are now controlled by the buyers of these services. The paper looks into the importance of the global distribution network for the hotel industry.
