摘要
The participation of Carbon dots (CDs) in electrochemical applications and optoelectronics is found less compared to their optical applications. Graphene oxide (GO) can act as a material to hold CDs and resolve the difficulties CDs have in these applications. Here, microwave assisted CDs were synthesized and decorated on GO sheets via hydrothermal method at 200celcius for a reaction time of 5 h. The successful decoration of CDs on GO sheets is supported by FT-IR spectroscopy, micro-Raman spectroscopy, and SEM analyses. The CDs decorated GO shows PL emission in the visible region from 380 to 600 nm as evidenced from the photoluminescence spectra. The prepared material would be useful for electrochemical, optical and optoelectronic applications.Copyright (c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd.
