SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING INITIATIVE: U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE

U.S. manufacturers are increasingly acknowledging the importance of implementing sustainable business practices as a means to enhance competitiveness. The U.S. Department of Commerce developed the Sustainable Manufacturing Initiative (SMI) to assist manufacturers in their pursuit of environmentally sound, cost-effective, and value-enhancing strategies.
