Study of an AC-AC flyback converter operating in DCM

摘要
This paper presents a study of the performance of an AC-AC flyback converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) under three kinds of loads: linear resistive, linear inductive and non-linear capacitive. Its basic operational principle and design method are explained. Simulation results of the converter with the three kinds of loads under steady state and input voltage sag conditions are presented. The converter on every case shown an output voltage THD less then 4% and an output voltage regulation in the range of -0.03% to -2.23%. Under and input voltage sag of 60% deep the converter needs about 1ms to return to steady state condition with a very low amplitude oscillation.
