Preparation and infrared transmittance of NaLaS2 ceramics

摘要
Infrared-transmitting NaLaS2 ceramics with various Na/La molar ratios are prepared by hot-press sintering. The Na/La=1.1 pellet shows the best performances with the maximum transmittance of 45.4% at 9 mu m and the low absorption of sulfate at 8-14 mu m due to its uniform grain microstructures containing single NaLaS2 phase. Contrasting investigation indicates NaLaS2 ceramics possesses a greater antioxidation capacity and better long-wave infrared performance than gamma La2S3 ceramics due to sodium content.
