摘要
Depressive illness increases the risk of first acute coronary syndrome events, but the underlying mechanisms remain undetermined. Our finding that serotonin-mediated platelet reactivity was significantly higher in depressed patients relative to nondepressed controls suggests that the association between depression and acute coronar), syndromes is related to increased serotonin-mediated platelet reactivity.
