摘要
Cryogenic fatigue damage analyses for austenitic stainless steel were performed by magnetic force microscopy and X-ray diffraction method. It was found that fully transformed zone sizes of alpha'-martensite at cryogenic temperature(4K,77K), and in high-magnetic cryogenic environment(4K, 6T) were larger than those at room temperature(293K). Enhancement of fatigue crack growth resistance at cryogenic temperature and in high-magnetic cryogenic environment was explained by transformation induced fatigue crack closure caused by alpha'-martensite.
