Study on Modified Ammonium Nitrate, and Stability

摘要
The modified ammonium nitrate(AN)was prepared by adding different additives with dosage of 2%(wt), and the effects of the additives on AN polymorphs were studied by differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) and X-Ray diffraction (XRD).The results show that potassic salts prevent the transition of N-III effectively, and the additives containing carbonyl, amide etc polar groups can decrease the phase transition enthalpy of and III-II owing to the hydrogen bonds.
