Comparing the predictions of blow molding software to an actual molded part currently in production

This paper is a continuation of the paper presented by M. David Rose at the 1995 ANTEC. The purpose of this paper is to compare the predictions of a newer version of the same inflation simulation software to actual molded parts currently in production. This experiment will be completed in two steps. The first step will be to visit the company that produces the blow molded part. The process will be recorded, the parison will be measured, and parts will be collected. The second step will be to model the part using the information and process obtained during the site visit. The results will then be compared to the actual part.
