摘要:
This paper study effects of item wording to unidimensionality of the Revised Life Orientation Test (LOT-R). The six-item LOT-R was administered to undergraduates in its original mixed form and in consistent optimism form (PLOT-R) and consistent pessimism form (NLOT-R). The decision of how many factors to be retained will be done by parallel analysis with principal component analysis and by confirmatory factor analysis. Results indicated that two factors had been retained in LOT-R and PLOT-R, and only one factor had been retained in NLOT-R. So, it is concluded that the dimensionality of LOT-R can be affected by item wording.
