Electrochemical synthesis of crystalline and amorphous manganese coatings

摘要
The electrochemical synthesis of crystalline and amorphous manganese coatings by electrodeposition from ammonium sulfate electrolytes was analyzed. The pH was adjusted after each deposition and all experiments were carried out at a temperature of 25°C. The kinetics of room temperature recrystallization of crystalline coatings followed the Johnson-Mehl-Avrami equations. Amorphous manganese coatings exhibited no recrystallization and enhanced stability.
