Electron excitation of the 3s4s 1S0 and 3s4p 1P1 states of magnesium

摘要：
Prompted by the recent measurements of Predojevic , we have calculated the excitation of the 3s4s S-1(0) and 3s4p P-1(1) states of magnesium by electron impact at 20, 40, 60, and 100 eV in the relativistic distorted-wave approximation. Results are presented for the differential and integrated cross sections and compared with previous experimental and theoretical data.
