摘要
The strong dependence of the photochemical reactivity in solution of the most common fullerenes C-60 and C-70 on the solvent used, the presence of other small molecules (oxygen, solvent impurities, fullerene decomposition products, or the added compounds such as triethylamine, trioctylamine, and carbon disulfide), a radiation wavelength (from VUV to near infrared) and laser intensity has been investigated. Fullerenes dissolved in simple chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons exhibit unique photochemical behaviour. Fullerene decomposition is unexpectedly efficient in the presence of trioctylamine (in comparison with triethylamine) in toluene solution. However, fullerene photochemical reactivity is lower than expected when carbon disulfide or naphthalene were is added to the solution.
