PROOF AND EXPERIMENTATION IN STATISTICS AND QUANTITATIVE METHODS - APPLICATIONS TO TOURISM MANAGEMENT

Statistics and quantitative methods play a crucial role in tourism enterprises. Computers today give a boost in applying mathematics to tourism fields. The plethora of tools today, educational and practical, allows us to resolve problems related to tourism easier than in previous years. Despite this new way of applying mathematics to tourism, theoretical proofs, formal or 'lighter', are still necessary to build up the background for our study. Ways of checking the validity of the proofs should be available so that computers check the theory and theory checks the computer work.
