Acoustic enhancement and weak signal detection based on the space-coiling gradient acoustic grating

Weak signal detection plays an important role in industrial production. We propose the space-coiling gradient acoustic grating to control the sound wave transmission and realize acoustic enhancement. The numerical results show that the acoustic pressure amplitude can be amplified more than 240 times, and the corresponding frequency can be reduced to 500 Hz. Besides, we optimize properties of the space-coiling acoustic grating and apply it into the field of weak signal detection. For periodic impulse signals, the amplitude of the characteristic frequency is effectively enlarged, which makes the detection of the characteristic frequency much easier.
