Hyperandrogenism in PCOS is best treated by a combination of ovarian suppression and antiandrogens. This article discusses the use of antiandrogens in the medical treatment of PCOS, including spironolactone, cyproterone acetate, flutamide, and finasteride, and focuses on safe, effective, and low-cost therapies for hirsutism and androgenetic alopecia.
