Novel nucleophilic addition to the N=C bond of silicon isocyanates: Conversion of some sterically hindered organosilicon isocyanates into aminosilanes

摘要
Treatment of the sterically hindered organosilicon isocyanates (Me3Si)(3)CSiMe2NCO, (PhMe2Si)(3)CSiMe2NCO and (Me3Si)(2)C(SiMePh2)(SiMe2NCO) with 2M NaOH in 1/1 v/v MeOH/CH2Cl2 at room temperature gives the aminosilanes (Me3Si)(3)CSiMe2NH2, (PhMe2Si)(3)CSiMe2NH2 and (Me3Si)(2)C(SiMePh2) (SiMe2NH2) respectively. Treatment of (Me3Si)(3)CSiMe2NCO with 0.5 M NaOMe in 1/1 v/v MeOH/CH2Cl2 gives the urethane (Me3Si)(3)CSiMe2NHCOOMe.
