Antiferromagnetic exchange as a mechanism of high-Tc superconductivity

Superconducting pairing caused by the anti ferromagnetic exchange interaction of electrons (holes) is discussed in terms of the two-band p-d Hubbard model. Large excitation energy induced by the antiferromagnetic exchange of particles from different Hubbard subbands suppresses retardation effects, which results in the pairing of all the particles in the conduction band with a high superconducting temperature.
