摘要：
Objectives - To carry out a review of the litterature about the actual aspects of sport related facial injuries. Current knowledge - The epidemiological caracters of sport related facial injuries are different in relation to the countries and the type of sports. There are also some differences between these lesions and the other facial injuries. Future prospects and projects - It seems very important to develop methods of dental protection with mouthguards and prevent other facial injuries with face protections in some sports, (C) 2001 Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier SAS.
