Andalo di Negro, an Astronomer/Astrologer at the Court of Robert of Anjou

Andalo di Negro was appointed teacher at the court of Robert of Anjou, where Boccaccio met him and attended his lectures. The enthusiastic appreciation by Boccaccio provides evidence of Andalo's teaching skills and fournishes some clues on the role Andalo played at the court of Naples.
