A Comprehensive Optimization for the Trade-off of Energy Saving and System Performance in Controller Design

摘要
This paper is trying to achieve the comprehensive optimization for energy consumption and system performance in PI control of ball-beam system while meeting the requirements of performance firstly. For this purpose, the expression of performance evaluation, energy evaluation and comprehensive evaluation are given firstly, and then discretizing the mathematical model of the controlled object ball-beam system and the difference equations of the ball-beam system are obtained thereafter, numerical results demonstrate the trade-off between the tracking performance and the control energy and to find the proper choices of P and PI controller parameters.
