The Parker Solar Probe is braving extreme conditions to explore the mysterious solar corona, a region that harbors some of the most diffi cult-to-understand phenomena in astrophysics. The Parker Solar Probe (PSP) is exploring the Sun’s atmosphere, one of the last unvisited and extreme regions in our solar system.1 Launched on 12 August 2018, the PSP has flown closer to the Sun’s surface than any other spacecraft.
