Proverbs are interesting for the interlingual and intercultural comparison, especially since they can support the understanding of other cultures (cf. Meihsner 2013: 291. They very often correspond in terms of form and content between languages and show a high degree of formal and semantic -pragmatic convergence (cf. Jesent'ek 2013a; Piirainen 2012). The aim of this article is to create an equivalence list of proverbs from Croatian GFL textbooks and to formulate a level -differentiated proposal for the implementation of these proverbs in GFL teaching.
