Preference Modeling Based on Soft Constraint Satisfaction Theory

Preference modeling is an important research problem in electronic commerce and many methods have been proposed. However, most of the methods pay little attention to constructive and dynamic perspectives on preferences. That is, user preferences may change with the contexts as well as preference elicitation processes. We research on the applications of soft constraint satisfaction theory in preference modeling and propose modeling user preferences as dynamic soft constraint satisfaction problems. And then after analyzing the prerequisites of preference revision, a preference revision mechanism is provided based on soft constraints.
