摘要
The paper presents the results of studies on the development of a fully integrated design of the flywheel energy storage system (FESS) with combined high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnetic suspension and integrated in the flywheel motor-generator that can be used on wind power stations, in the power supply systems for industry and transport. The obtained technical solutions make it possible to improve the operating characteristics of the FESS for considered applications. The proposed design provides a stable levitation of the flywheel, allows to non-contact regulate the force of magnetic thrust bearing in a vacuum chamber, to perform an initial centering of the flywheel and to put into operation a safety bearing in case of accidents. The design of motor generator has no additional energy losses in storage mode and its electromagnetic time constant is low. The theoretical results are confirmed by experimental data on laboratory model.
