Applications of Photonic Crystal Fiber for high speed transmission and optical devices

摘要
This paper presents a new Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCFs) with all its diagonals having circular air holes. All other air holes are of elliptical geometry. Area of both the geometry are kept same. Investigated results shows that the designed fiber is eligible for high data rate transfer and for making optical sensors and devices. However dispersion reported at both the first two optical windows is very low. Moreover birefringence reported at the second optical window is comparatively higher. Besides we have studied normalized frequency, modal index number of the designed fiber.
