Carbazole or thiophene-contg. methacrylate monomers were synthesized and free-radical copolymerized. The monomers and copolymers were characterized by gas chromatog. mass spectrometry and IR spectroscopic gel permeation chromatog. Mol. masses and polydyspersity indexes of the resulting copolymers were det.
