摘要
Virtual organization of enterprise applications is an indispensable means to realize spontaneous resources sharing and business collaboration among enterprises in an open and dynamic environment. The underlying, often standalone information systems need to be dynamically integrated. However, independent enterprise resources are difficult to be naturally integrated due to their incompatibleness in semantics. To shield semantic incompatibleness and facilitate resource discovery and utilization in the virtual organization, this paper defines a scalable resource registration mechanism called SATOR, which is semantics-based and supports the dynamic integration of heterogeneous enterprise resources. The mechanism has been validated in a real-world project dealing with dynamic supply chains of a large-scale electronic manufacturing enterprise.
