摘要：
The paper presents a method for obtaining an electrode type consisting of a composite matrix based on copper powder, in which different quantities of reinforcement elements such as WC, Ni, Al and Cr were introduced. Distribution, separating and pressing of the reinforcing elements in different parts of the piece's volume were made by placing of thin-walled copper tubing. The obtaining of the consolidated material was carried out by infiltration process, using an electric furnace, according to a specific diagram for heating, maintaining and cooling. The obtained composite material was characterized in terms of optical microscopy and microhardness measurements were performed in different areas, to emphasize the effect of reinforcement. Samples were then subjected to compression test for determining the resistance to deformation.
