摘要
We have developed a distributed control plane software based on GMPLS (Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching). We demonstrated rapid provisioning and fast restoration in a simulated optical mesh network employing the developed control plane software. Its restoration time was competitive with SONET/SDH ring protection time, and required fewer backup resources. A routing model for optical mesh networks including all-optical subnets is also discussed for further enhancement of a control plane.
