THE EFFECT OF CASTING BY LOCAL MOULDS FILLING ON THE STEEL FIBRES DISTRIBUTION OF SELF-COMPACTING CONCRETE BEAMS AND THEIR STRENGTH Cement-Wapno-Beton, Vol. XVIII/LXXX, 2013, No 2, p. 91 The paper presents the study of the effect of the local casting method, feeding the mix in one mould edge, on steel fibres distribution in self-compacting concrete beams and on their properties. The concrete beams, with dimensions 120x15x15 cm and 180x15x15 cm, contained different addition - volume fraction 0.5-1.0-1.5%-of steel fibres (length 35 and 50 mm). With computed tomography the oriented fibres distribution, parallel to the mixture flow in the mould, was found. It caused the increase of bending strength, particularly in the case of longer fibres. Obtained results and used method of fibres distribution examination gives the possibility of their application in the future for modeling of the impact of casting technology and forms of concrete elements on their properties.
