摘要：
An account is given on the importance of water resources education in the next century. The three freshwater issues are detailed including water availability, human health and safety, and aquatic ecosystem integrity. Suggestions are also given on how to meet the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
