Not only trainees, but all employees are subjekt to a strong educative challenge with regard to an orientation towards the `new demands` of the global economy. Furthermore, it is suggested to the educational system as such and to the entire society to adapt to economic conditions: knowing how to deal with shortage, flexibility, and - mediated through the ideal of the entrepreneur - entrepreneurship is meant to prepare for all vicissitudes of individual, economic, and social developments. Thus, we can differentiate between a within-company, an intermediary, and a societal perspective of the company as educator. An innovative mind, the ability to work in teams, and the striving for efficiency are, in this context, the outstanding virtues.
