A study of the precipitation of Nb(CN) in microalloyed steels using TEM

摘要
The precipitation of Nb(CN), formed in microalloyed austenite at a variety of temperatures from 1050 to 1150 degrees C, has been examined using an analytical transmission electron microscope equipped for energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, energy-filtered imaging and electron energy loss spectroscopy. It has been found that the C/N ratio in Nb(CN) precipitates is sensitive to both precipitation temperature and Si concentration.
