摘要
The paper deals with the selected statistics of the tourism in the Moravian-Silesian Region in 2012 - 2016. This is mainly the capacity of collective accommodation establishments, the occupancy in collective accommodation establishments, the number of guests in collective accommodation establishments by country and the Net use of beds (NUB) and use of rooms (UR) at hotels and similar accommodation establishments in regions. The aim of this paper is to evaluate selected statistics of the tourism in Moravian-Silesian Region. In the paper is used the method of analysis, synthesis, comparison. The Moravian-Silesian region has both good conditions, traditions and a number of cultural monuments. We must not forget the spa area that is used by tourists who prefer spa stays. These tourists in the Moravian-Silesian Region will find a number of places offering wellness stays or top services of modern spa complexes. In the period 2012 - 2016 the number of tourists in the Moravian-Silesian Region increased. Tourism is a sector with high growth potential not only in the Moravian-Silesian Region but also throughout the Czech Republic.
