A new approach to teaching multimedia

The topic of Multimedia is a mystery to students. They have heard the term in different contexts (mainly video games) but are unable to define it. With the growing use of the Internet and the lower costs of PCs, Multimedia has become one of the "hottest" markets today. Everyone who needs to function productively in the 21(st) century, especially businesses, must know about Multimedia. This paper describes a new course called Multimedia on the Internet. I developed and taught the course twice during the summer sessions of 1997 and 1998 as an elective course to business students at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls.
