On the animal nature of the Late Riphean Rugosoopsis

摘要：
New records of nonmineralizing microfossils of the formal genus Rugosoopsis from the Late Riphean Lakhanda microbiota in eastern Siberia show anatomical structures suggesting that they are of an animal nature. The dependence of the state of their preservation on the degree of the destructive effect of numerous bacterial microorganisms that were in close contact with Rugosoopsis is discussed. Some bacteria were saprophytes and produced food for Rugosoopsis, while others destroyed it.
