摘要
It is a widespread belief that economy competitiveness is increasingly linked to innovation and, through new and more organic relationships, with the research and academic world. This has led the business sector to recognize as a fundamental partner the university and, more generally, the research system. It is in this context that the Centre for Studies and Research on Hazelnut operates. Thanks to a contribution of the Lazio Region and following an agreement between the Department of Plant Protection of the University of Tuscia and Ce. FAS, the special agency of the Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture in Viterbo, in 2003 in Viterbo (Italy) the "Centre for Studies and Research on Hazelnut" was born. The aim of the Centre is to promote actions of study, research and extension activities in different hazelnut sectors to improve, innovate and enhance nut cultivation, marketing and economics in the Province of Viterbo. The paper illustrates the main results of these activities.
